B C's Bar & Grill

B C's Bar & Grill doesn't try to hide what it is, and you won't find any sleek neon signs guiding you in from the Wichita sprawl. The front door's usually propped open with an old rubber wedge, letting out a thick wave of cigarette smoke and fried pickles that hits you right on the asphalt.

Inside, it's a classic neighborhood box with wood paneling that’s seen decades of cheap domestic taps and local cover bands. There's no fancy stage here, just a corner patch of worn carpet where the guitar amps sit right next to the pool table. The bartender's slinging pitchers fast enough to keep up with the regulars crowding the bar stools, and nobody's checking IDs twice if you look like you belong.

Sound bounces hard off the drywall, so you'll lose your voice shouting drink orders over the drums. It’s loud, sticky, and completely unbothered by what anyone downtown thinks. When the final set wraps up, the back door swings wide to let the cool Kansas wind sweep out the stale air.
